Lord RamPolice claim that although there were five arrests and a flag march on Mumbai’s Mira Road, there was no communal violence in the incident.

Ahead of the pran-pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya, social media was flooded with videos depicting “communal tension” in Mumbai’s Mira Road. Five people have been arrested in relation to an incident that was reported on Sunday night, according to the police. On Monday morning, there was a flag march in the area, and everything was quiet.

Slogans were yelled from three or four vehicles carrying members of the Hindu community, DCP Jayant Bajbale told news agency ANI. “There was a disagreement with certain members of the Muslim community. The police car arrived on the scene right away and placed some individuals under arrest after realizing the situation was getting worse, according to the DCP.

“The situation has been brought under control, and the neighborhood saw a flag march. The DCP continued, “Naya Nagar Police has filed a case against five individuals, taken them into custody, and initiated an investigation.”

The cars are seen being attacked in the middle of the road in videos of the incident that went viral prior to the pran-pratishtha ceremony. The assailants swore and shattered glasses. Hindustan Times was unable to independently confirm the accuracy of the footage.

According to the DCP, there was a minor altercation that turned violent, rather than acts of communal aggression. The DCP declared, “I would appeal to the people to not believe in any rumors.”
