Netflix sets January 26 release for Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’

Even though “Animal,” which debuted on December 1, received negative reviews for its sexist, violent, and inaccurate depiction of women, it went on to become one of the highest grossing Hindi movies of 2023.

Netflix announced on Thursday that the Ranbir Kapoor film “Animal” will be available for streaming on the platform starting on January 26.

In addition to Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri, the film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The film “Animal,” which debuted on December 1st, garnered significant revenue for Hindi cinema in 2023, even though it faced criticism for its derogatory depiction of women, sexism, and graphic violence.

According to Ranbir Kapoor, he is excited for his movie’s Netflix digital premiere.

“We are ecstatic about the reception ‘Animal’ received in theaters, and I’m happy that people everywhere can now watch it in the comfort of their own homes. The chance to present our work to a global audience is extremely unique,” the actor said in a statement.

“Animal” will be accessible on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada in addition to Hindi.

The streamer characterized the movie as an action drama that delves into the complexities of contemporary relationships, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between a father and son, portrayed by Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.

Producing “Animal” are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, and Murad Khetani.
