JEE Main 2024: City Intimation Slip For Paper I Released, Check Steps To Download

JEE Mains Exam 2024: The Paper 1 examination for BE/BTech will be held on January 27, 29, 30, 31, January, and February 01.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the advance city intimation slip for the Joint Entrance Exams (Main) 2024 Paper I. Those who submitted an application for the test can use their application number and birthdate to download their city slip from the official website. The dates of the BE/BTech Paper 1 examination are January 27, 29, 30, 31, January, and February 1. The cities where the exam centers will be located are listed on the city slip.

The first session exam is slated to occur between January 24 and February 1.

The notice from the official source states that the “official website now hosts the Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City for the exam to be held on 27, 29, 30, 31 January, and 01 February 2024, for Paper 1 (BE/BTech).”

JEE Mains Exam 2024: Steps To Download Advance City Slip

  • Go to the official website of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.ac.in
  • On the home page, select JEE Mains Exam 2024 advance city intimation slip link
  • Candidates need to enter the login details after a new page opens
  • Submit the details, and the advance city intimation slip will appear
  • Review the slip and download the page
  • Take a printout and keep a copy for future need

Examination Schedule:

JEE Main (2024) Paper 1 (BE/BTech) has two sessions planned: Session 1 (January 24–February 1, 2024) and Session 2 (April 1–April 15, 2024). The purpose of this scheduling is to avoid any conflicts with board exams, which can take place at various times in different states and union territories. Furthermore, there will be two administrations of Paper 2A and Paper 2B (BArch and BPlanning) in 2024, one in January and one in April.

A minimum of 75% of the possible points must be earned in the 12th grade exam, or the candidate must rank in the top 20% of the test taken by the relevant Board. The qualifying score drops to 65% for applicants who belong to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC). Additionally, admission to the BE/BTech and BArch/BPlanning programs at these institutes requires a certain combination of subjects to be taken on the qualifying exam.

JEE Main 2024: Examination Structure:

There are two separate papers in the JEE Main exam. Candidates who pass Paper 1 are eligible to apply to universities and other institutions funded or recognized by participating State Governments, as well as Undergraduate Engineering programs such as BE/BTech in NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs. Candidates who pass the JEE Main exam are also eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam, which is required to gain admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Paper 2 of JEE (Main) is intended for those who want to enroll in BArch and BPlanning programs at various national universities.

JEE Main 2024: Examination Papers:

Paper 1: BE/BTech

Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

  • Type of Questions: Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Questions with numerical value answers, with equal weightage to Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry
  • Mode of examination: “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only

Paper 2A: BArch

  • Part-I: Mathematics
  • Part-II: Aptitude Test
  • Part III: Drawing Test
  • Type of questions: Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Questions with numerical value answers for Mathematics; Aptitude Test with MCQs; Drawing Test for drawing aptitude
  • Mode of examination: “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode for Mathematics and Aptitude Test; “Pen and Paper Based” (offline) mode for Drawing Test on an A4 size Drawing sheet.
     
  • Paper 2B: B Planning
  • Part-I: Mathematics
  • Part-II: Aptitude Test
  • Part-III: Planning-Based Questions

Question types include multiple choice questions (MCQs) with numerical value answers for mathematics, aptitude tests with MCQs, and objective type questions. MCQs for planning-based questions are the objective type.
