The opening game of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 between England and New Zealand will take place in Ahmedabad tomorrow, October 5, 2023. The mega event will have 48 overall matches. In all, 48 games will be contested on 10 different venues around India, from the northern city of Dharamsala to the southern cities of Bangalore and Chennai. Ten teams will compete in the competition, and each day will include two matches, the first of which will start at 10:30 am and the second of which will start at 2 pm IST.

The first match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will take place on October 5, 2023, and the championship game will follow on November 19, 2023.

The competition will follow the same rules as the 2019 Cricket World Cup. India, England, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and the Netherlands are among the ten participating teams. The top four teams will play in the semi-finals, which will be followed by the final between the two teams. These 10 teams will play each other once in a round-robin format.

Start Date of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023’s opening 45 games will take place from Sunday, October 5, 2023, to Sunday, November 12, 2023. The two semifinal contests will take place on November 15 and 16, 2023, at 2 PM. The final game is slated to take place on November 19, 2023.
