Actor Christian Oliver, 2 daughters killed in a plane crash in the Caribbean: Check his last Instagram post

On January 4, actor Christian Oliver, who starred in films such as Speed Racer, and his two daughters perished in an aircraft accident. The collision happened close to Petit Nevis Island, a private island in the eastern Caribbean that is close to Bequia. Police in St. Vincent and the Grenadines said the plane was flying toward St. Lucia.

In addition to the 51-year-old actor, Madita Klepser, age 10, and Annik Klepser, age 12, also perished in the collision. Authorities claim that pilot Robert Sachs perished in the collision as well. But according to police, the crash’s cause was not immediately apparent. Christian Klepser was another name for the actor.

While the St. Vincent and Grenadines Coast Guard was en route to the scene, local divers and fishermen raced to the crash site to offer assistance.

The police were quoted by the AP as saying, “We are extremely grateful for the fishermen’s and divers’ courageous and selfless actions.”

Oliver had numerous creditable roles in films and television shows since his German birth. He made appearances in two Steven Soderbergh films: The Good German (2006), which is about World War II and also starred George Clooney and Cate Blanchett, and Speed Racer (2008), which is a sports action comedy.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny featured Oliver. In the fifth and final Indiana Jones movie, starring Harrison Ford, he provided the voice of the character.

He appeared throughout season two of the 1990s series Saved by the Bell: The New Class, playing a Swiss transfer student named Brian Keller. He also featured in the Cobra 11 television series.

On New Year’s Day, Christian Oliver posted a picture of a beach and wished everyone “the best for 2024.” He wrote, “Let love rule.” From somewhere in paradise, greetings! To love and community … Here we come, 2024! (sic)”
